PROFILE: Eric Li, Features Editor (Culture Shock)
Eric Li is currently a Junior attending Oakland High School. Eric Li was raised in China and immigrated with his family to the U.S. when he was 11 years old. Because of his Chinese heritage, Eric is able to speak 3 different dialects of Chinese, and studied French for 3 years. Eric has participated in many different organizations. One of the organizations that Eric participated in was Asian Immigrant Woman Advocate (AIWA). AIWA provided an opportunity for Eric to learn about the injustice and inequality issues in the U.S., and was involved with an ELD (English Language Development) campaign to help ELD students attend a four year college.
