I think teens have sex because they like it, and some of them want to experience how it feels. I think they are also curious, they might feel pressure from their boyfriend/girlfriend. They might have sex because they have nothing to do. I asked some of my peers what they think about teens having sex?

“They do it for pleasure, and think they can handle it, and because they like it”. – Ronajean

“They think sex is so cool, and that other people are doing it too, but in the end people are going to be making fun of them”. – Aileen

“They did once and now they are addicted to it”. – Carmen

Many people don’t think about all the diseases that they could get for having sex without a condom. I did some reseach and it show that 13% of teens said they’ve had sex. Most of the teens that had sex didn’t think of the risks involved, don’t use condoms, don’t know they could get a STD, or even get a girl pregnant.  Only 34% of girls that have sex said they always use condoms. A lot of teens said that condoms kill the mood. I don’t think condoms kill the mood.

They don’t use condoms, but they also don’t think about what will happen to them if they don’t. I have never had sex, I wouldn’t want to risk my health, and I definitly  don’t want to have a baby.45% of teens don’t use condoms. They’d rather risk their health than kill the mood. I’m no one to tell you to not have sex but if you are going to have sex, I suggest using protection. Teens think the the pill will protect them from everything and they don’t need to worry. The pill only reduces the chances of getting pregnant. It doesn’t protect you from STDs.

Things you can do instead of having sex:

• Go to the movie
• Yoga
• Masturbate
• Dance sexy
• Make out
• Oral sex
