5 Trends I Dig & Dis
This week’s article I will be discussing the top 5 trends I like and dislike. Comment if you agree or disagree!
Trends I Dig:
5.
Hats
Nice ones. Not anything I would want to claw my eyes out over and the eyes of everyone around of me. They’re also useful on bad hair days or days where you don’t want to look at the world.
4.
Matte Nails
I don’t think a lot of people know about this trend because after I got matte nails, a lot of girls started asking me about it. It’s like regular nail polish but without the shininess. It has a look simmilar to pottery or leather when dry. Sephora currently has high quality OPI black matte nail polish for 9$ but it’s on sale for 5. They had purple too but I guess they ran out. Lower priced matte polish is also availible at Forever 21 and ICING but in limited colors.
3.
Pepper Spray Rings
I always wanted one because you can use it up to around 3 times without refilling it. It’s also useful for if you’re about to get raped.
2.
Layering Socks
It has more depth than just wearing socks by themselves. In this picture thigh highs are layered over leggings but you can do it with leg warmers, fishnets, or other things in contrasting colors, lengths, . . .
1.
Peep Toe Shoes
It looks great for spring and shows off toe nail polish, unless you have foot fungus or don’t cut your nails because no one has to see that.
Trends I Dis:
5.
Giant Hoop Earrings
Personally, I think they look really trashy and I wonder if it gets caught on things or if it hurts when worn for long time periods.
4.
Clashing Or Overdoing Plaids
Everyone probably has at least one plaid thing, I admit I do too, but I notice some people wear a different colour of plaid every day. It makes me think that you’re off to chop wood or something. Even worse, some people clash plaids by wearing 2 or more different plaid colours at a time.
3.
Label Whoring
Some clothing companies screen print or embroid their brand name in a large logo, initial, name, or fictional date of establishment. Hollister is a prime example. Some people’s closets are full of clothes like these. It makes them look like walking billboards.
2.
Wearing Clothes That Obviously Don’t Fit
I’ve seen girls wear skinny jeans with their fat exploding over the top. Also, it’s so gross when I see some people at school sag their pants to the point it looks like they use the bathroom on themselves. And to me, seeing a guy’s boxers is as trashy as seeing a girl’s thong out their pants. There shouldn’t be a double standard.
1.
Uggs
There are extremely ugly and I think were originally designed to wear indoors during harsh winters but they’re pretty much everywhere now. Uggs have also spawned many equally atrocious imitations, increasing its circulation.

great use of photos! and I totally disagree with the hoop earrings! LOL
the nail polish is awsome! n i agree with most of the stuff you say!
dude i totally agree your style is so awsome
wow this artice was sooooooooooooooooo awsome!!!!!!!!!!!
to add bout de boots:
if u wear em, ur feet will lose their natural curves D:
n i only wear light silver thin hoops so im glad im still on de gud side ^^. biggies r trashy yeah!
aggreed wit de plaid…one or two plaid buh not in 360!!!!
I toyally agree with the earing and sagging! Both are really to show offy and end up not showing off in the right way. I hate when a girl has earrings so big, that they end up laying partialy on the sholder! And i have a classmate whose ear is about to rip from her earring hole and she said “oh well if its going to rip, it will rip, as long as i can wear earrings till then, i dont care.” I was like “And how are you goin to fix that when you get older? You gonna just have a split ear?” It scared me. But I totally disagree with the holister! They are cute cause of the label. Also i somewhat agree on the uggs i think they’re cute but they totally kill your foot curve.
I totally DISAGREE with HOLLISTER clothing!
