2010 Summer Youth Internship
School Landscaping Project
EBAYC is looking for 12 high school youth – ideally youth who graduated from Roosevelt – who want to make Roosevelt Middle School look great by learning how to design, install, and maintain a new exterior landscape along the school’s slopes.
Through this internship, you will:
- Work with a landscape architect and help design a landscape on the Roosevelt “slopes”, including plant/tree research and selection.
- Install new landscape features, including trees, plants, soil amendments, and pathways.
- Maintain improved landscape areas.
- Document before/work-in-progress/after phases.
- Develop professional work habits, attitudes, and skills.
- Earn up to $960.00
To be eligible, you must have the following:
- be a high school student
- have a strong interest in landscape design
- be committed to working in a team
- like to work with children
- be able to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. beginning July 12 and ending August 20, 2010
