Never fear ‘cuz Link Crew is here!!!
Adapting to a new learning environment is not as difficult when you have Link Crew available to help you out. Link Crew is a program composed of current high school students, whose goal is to help new students adjust to their senior high school and form a more positive link between upperclassmen and all underclassmen. Each and every Link Crew member attends workshops where they are especially trained to be a positive role model and make the newcomers feel welcomed at their new school. Members get the opportunity to enhance their leadership potentials and improve their communication skills so that they can become motivators and resourceful mentors for the rest of the students.
As a team, Link Crew members are responsible for helping out with the yearly school registrations and freshmen orientations. During registration, Link Crew members are placed into different groups and given different tasks. Some of the members voluntarily approach to parents and serve as bilingual translators. At Orientation, Link Crew gets the new students ready for a new start by informing them about all the rules and academic goals expected of them. After registration and freshmen orientation, Link Crew members are responsible for keeping in monthly contacts with their assigned freshmen group and make sure that the freshmen are updated on the events that will take place at school. Throughout the school year, they maintain their responsibility as a Link Crew member by spending their own time helping with mail stuffing, SAT guiding, and other school activities such as Back-To-School Night and spirit week. Link Crew exists to serve our school and work for the betterment of it!
