FRESH Magazine @ Oakland High is a joint project between Beats, Rhymes & Life and the  East Bay Asian Youth Center, funded by the Bechtal Foundation. Created in 2007 by students at Oakland High School, FRESH, which stands for “For Real Expression Start Here”, provides a platform for youth to showcase their creative works, build community, become advocates for themselves, discuss critical issues affecting youth health, and learn more about local programs and resources, while developing professional business and media skills.
